Course Description |
This course is mainly concerned with the control of behaviour of private economic power through competition laws in Malaysia. Firstly, it discusses basic principles of economic efficiency to introduce the aims of competition laws. The course will consider the rationale, scope and application of competition laws in Malaysia. It will then discuss the main prohibitions provided by the Competition Act 2010, namely, anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominant positions. It will also consider distinct aspects of enforcements of competition law which are contained in the Competition Act 2010. |
