Course Description This course divided into two parts. Part one provides an overview of architectural history from the Classical Era to Modern Movement. Collectively it will provide the necessary background and framework for understanding the origins and evolution of the most important building types, construction methods and architectural styles. In part two, students will be expose to the intrinsic value of Malaysian Architectural Heritage which covers the study on local knowledge of technology and construction of historic building structure. This will include the study on climatic responses and passive design strategies of traditional Malaysian built forms
