Course Description This course will provide a detailed examination of the major legislation, policies and initiatives in halal food and halal supply food chain. Additionally, this course also provides a general overview of the laws, regulations, history and policies that govern food regulation in Malaysia and other countries. Knowledge, information and experience gained through this course will give the student a better understanding of the legal issues involved in the regulation of foods in Malaysia and also other countries.
Transferable Skills Gain knowledge on the Malaysian and International food laws and regulations pertaining halalal-toyyiban, halal food supply and risk management.

CLO4 Define government statutes and regulations that contribute to a halal, safe, nutritious, and wholesome food supply.
