Course Description This course introduces students to prominent theorists that pioneered the discipline of psychology and sociology. The course focuses on the scientific study of human behaviour which deals with the topics of personality, emotions, motivations, learning,and perceptions, among others. For sociology, students will be exposed to the scope and basic theories of sociology within the paradigm of cultural studies. Students will be introduced to some crucial concepts and discourses related to the creative and artistic, such as popular culture, ideology, questions of representation, globalization and other pertinent topics.
Transferable Skills Students are able to use the skills of psychology & sociology to understand an individual and society's behaviour, in their everyday life.
