Course Description This course introduces students to Malay traditional dances. Dance is a universal form of non-verbal communication by which one can perceive the cultural traits of a society – its norms, values, emotions and temperament. Students will deal with the different types of Malay dance with reference to their origins, vocabulary and performance structures.
