Course Description This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts and principles of visual merchandising and store design. This course also includes basic sales psychology aspects and describes the different job opportunities there are for visual merchandisers. Knowledge and understanding on aspects such as lighting, colour, interior architecture and different display styles help retailers plan the best strategies to get the consumer's attention. Visual merchandising can make a good retail outlet great. Investing a little time and effort in giving the store a facelift can make a world of difference. When this is done correctly, visual merchandising can dramatically increase sales.
