Course Description This is the first part of the course on constitutional law which educates the students on the primary principles and understandings of the Malaysian Federal Constitution. This course aims to introduce and to develop the students’ understanding of constitutional concepts including constitutionalism, constitutional supremacy, fundamental rights and remedies as well as to look at the features of constitutionalism in Malaysia and other countries including the Westminster and Washington systems. Emphasis, however, will be placed on the Malaysian system. This course promotes the development for critical thinking and leadership skills and ethics and moral professionalism values in the area of constitutional law.
