CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN PROJECT
|
Course Code |
ECS358 |
Course Description |
The Civil Engineering Design Project is a guided project-based learning to conceive and design a reinforced concrete building and preparation of a technical report including design calculations, project schedule and bill of quantities by integrating the relevant knowledge gained from other courses such as structural analysis, structural concrete design and civil engineering quantities. This subject represents an independent work guided by Faculty members. The each of the student must has a clear picture of the objective, scope of work, methodology and expected outcome before conducting any experiment / case study / simulation at the end of the semester. The organization method of presentation and subject matter of the report are important in conveying to others the end result of the study. |
Transferable Skills |
Students should be able to perform structural design of a reinforced concrete building both manually and using software. |
