Course Description This course introduces students to the foundation of data analytics to solve business problems where the focus is largely on unstructured data. Methods introduced include web scraping, NoSQL modelling and manipulation, sentiment analysis and natural language processing. The method of teaching and learning includes lecture lab and project and the assessments consist of a test and a final examination.
Transferable Skills Demonstrate ability to apply creative, imaginative and innovative thinking and ideas to problem solving. Demonstrate ability to analyse issues/problems from multiple angles and make suggestions.
