Course Description This course provides a foundation of basics data communications and telecommunication technologies. The concepts, models, protocols, and standards of digital telecommunication are also covered. Students will also be exposed to the essentials of local area networks (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) technologies. Students are expected to conceptually plan and demonstrate a simple LAN using network configuration tools and internetworking devices.
