| Course Description |
The program in O&G is designed to provide firm background in the essential of women's health. Through a combination of didactic instruction and supervised clinical experience , students will acquire the relevant clinical skills of history taking & physical examination and learn reproductive physiology; antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum obstetric care; and recognition and management of various gynaecologic disorders.
Year 5 is aminly consolidation of the foundation laid in Year 3 with emphasis in the management of infertility, urologic diseases and gynaecological malignancies.
In addition students will be exposed to population health issues and ethical issues related to filed of obstetrics amd gynaecology.
The students will function as a " junior house-officer" and participate in the management round, on-call duty and assisting in the operating theatre. Most of the learning strategies will revolve around real life or simulated learning processes |

Improve on clinical skills including obstetric abdominal examination, conduct of deliveries, episiotomy repairs, speculum examination, Pap test, taking genital swabs and female urinary catheterization. |
