| Course Description |
This course provides practice in writing organized and well-developed prose for academic research writing purposes. It introduces students to the elements of good writing and the characteristics of a well-formed outlines, paragraphs, and develop into a full academic research paper. Students are exposed to appropriate use of information skills, documenting sources, and techniques of paraphrasing and summarising. Students are also given tasks to analyse journal articles to write annotated bibliography, synthesise and evaluate texts from secondary sources and write an academic research paper. |
