Assignment Individual assignment 1 :Develop Individual goal using the SMART goal setting method and goal achievement plan using Zig Ziglar’s goal setting formula. This task emphasizes the attribute of “problem solving skills” in MQA LOD6. i. It is an individual assignment ii. The topic is based on Personal Development Goals iii. Students need to develop their long-term goal using the SMART goal concept and Zig Ziglar’s goal setting formula. They need to ensure that the goal is specific, realistic and relevant. iv. Allocation of marks - Clarity and relevance of goals, obstacles, solutions, and resources needed to achieve the goal. 20% CLO2
Community Service Community Service & Engagement: Group of student create online- social awareness program (related to any current issue. e.g. Covid-19 issue) through social media posting. Student needs to post or conduct a webinar on any awareness media such as video or poster in social media. Allocation of marks: - i - Infographic Proposal (10%), -ii- A 10-minute online presentation of learning experience or outcome of online community awareness program conducted by student (20%), Total = 30%). A lecturer can use a rubric for PROPOSAL & PRESENTATION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE for evaluation. 30% CLO3
Test Test on knowledge and comprehension of ‘Personal Development’ indicators. Test consists of 5 semi-structured questions. Cover chapters: 2,3,4,5 & 7.This task fulfills the ‘knowledge’ domain of MQA LOD1. 30% CLO1
Written Report Group assignment: A reflection paper of a pressing social/ ethical/environmental issue faced by the local community. The task involves identifying recipients of the project, change needed (skills/ behavior/ knowledge), inputs or resources (people, money, materials, equipment, etc.), activities (how will the change be carried out), outputs (the assistance to be provided e.g time /fund deployed) and outcomes from the program (the changes that will occur). Emphasis is on the ability to “solve problems and use scientific skills” which is related to MQA LOD6 Allocation of marks -responsiveness to the topic; communication, organization and presentation of ideas; paper length and references 20% CLO3
